Ireland Active have today updated their framework for safe operation document (version 2). The framework provides the basis for operators to develop their own required technical operating guidance for customers, staff and supply chains in tandem with the Government national return to work protocol. Version 2 includes some government and industry information since the initial publication (Issued 12th May 2020). The document is prepared on the basis of the current 2m social distancing guidance, however should this change we will update the document to reflect this. We have been engaged with government around the reduction in social distancing from 2m and the positive impact this would have on the sector in terms of jobs and revenue, which has been put forward for review. We hope this will be clarified in the coming week along with Phase 3 permitted activities.
Information will be shared with members as soon as it becomes available on the above. To become a member of Ireland Active and receive the latest updates contact info@irelandactive.ie
It is important to note when reviewing the framework document, that updated versions may issued over the coming weeks and changes to business operations are to be expected once open and on an ongoing basis. Government guidelines/protocols should be followed at all times.
