Ireland Active is delighted to host a special Mental Health & Wellbeing Webinar on Thursday, 17 September at 11:00am, ahead of #BEACTIVE DAY 2026.

With Mental Health & Wellbeing at the heart of this year’s campaign, the webinar will explore the connection between being physically active and supporting our mental and emotional wellbeing.

We will be joined by Dr Susan Brannick, Clinical Director at Aware, and Eoin Kernan, Shine Ambassador.

Susan is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in service development, psychological consultation and training. She is passionate about tackling stigma in mental health and understanding the wider factors that can contribute to psychological difficulties.

Eoin will bring a lived-experience perspective to the conversation. A contributor to the award-winning RTÉ documentary Unspoken, Eoin has spoken openly about his experiences of mental illness and eating disorders. Being active and spending time on the sea through activities including sailing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding have become an important part of his life.

Together, Susan and Eoin will offer different but complementary perspectives on mental health, wellbeing and the positive role physical activity can play in our lives.
