Ireland Active is delighted to announce that applications are now open for two Industry Awards, which will be presented as part of the 2026 Ireland Active Conference & National Quality Standard Awards on Friday, 6th November at The Johnstown Estate, Co. Meath.

The awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding work being carried out by organisations across Ireland’s leisure, health and fitness sector, with applications open across two categories for 2026.

Sustainable Project/Initiative of the Year

The Sustainable Project/Initiative of the Year in the Leisure, Health and Fitness Industry will recognise an organisation that has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability through an innovative project or initiative.

This award provides an opportunity to showcase the steps your organisation is taking to reduce its environmental impact, improve sustainability or introduce more sustainable ways of operating.

Community Engagement Initiative of the Year

The Community Engagement Initiative of the Year in the Leisure, Health and Fitness Industry will recognise an organisation that has made a positive impact through an initiative designed to engage, support and connect with its local community.

Whether through increasing opportunities to participate in physical activity, reaching new groups or developing meaningful community partnerships, this award is an opportunity to highlight the positive work being delivered across the sector.

Applications for both awards are now open, with an entry deadline of Monday, 21st September 2026.

We encourage Ireland Active members to showcase their work and submit an application.

Winners will be announced at the Ireland Active Conference & NQS Awards 2026 on Friday, 6th November at The Johnstown Estate, Co. Meath.
