Ireland Active the Leisure, Health and Fitness Association

Jump Back In Campaign

As we embrace life starting to return to normal, Ireland Active are delighted to announce the launch on behalf of our members the Jump Back In campaign.  The campaign is a joint initiative between Ireland Active and Swim Ireland and aims to encourage the Irish public to engage with our members’ gyms, and swimming pools across the country following the easing of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Increased Safety Measures for Increased Confidence

Whilst personal exercise and swimming feature as popular activities for adults in Ireland, consumer confidence has been tested due to spikes in Covid cases at various times.  Ireland Active have put a framework in place to guide our members, and their teams, as we start to re-open.  All of our members have undertaken extensive staff training and expenditure to ensure facilities are safe for the public to visit.

These include;

  • Return to Work Training for employees in the leisure, health & fitness sector
  • Covid-19 Lead Worker Training
  • Specific Covid-19  First Aid training
  • Protective measures put in place   (Physical distancing protocol,  contact tracing, cleaning & disinfection protocols,)
  • Increased cleaning regimes

Framework For Safe Operations

The Return to Sport Expert Group have reviewed the Framework for Safe Operation of Leisure Centre, Health and Fitness Facilities (version 5)  and are satisfied that it is in line with government requirements. For more information check out our Framework for Safe Operations by clicking here.
