REPs Ireland

REPs Ireland are inviting expressions of interest for positions on the REPs Ireland Council. Registered members can send in a submission for consideration for a position on the Council, nomination will be based upon the sectoral representation, skills, knowledge and expertise of the individuals. Final nomination is undertaken by a committee comprising of the current REPs Ireland Council Chairman, an Ireland Active Board Director and the Ireland Active Chief Executive with support from the REPs Ireland Registrar. Final selection of Council members will be approved by the Ireland Active Board of Directors.

REPs Ireland Council Roles and Responsibilities:
✓ Inform the setting of policy and standards in relation to the registration and continuing education of suitably qualified exercise professionals in Ireland
✓ Advise on the development of relevant industry and professional guidelines and standards of practice
✓ Inform and advise REPs Ireland on industry issues, trends, needs and opportunities that relate to and/or promote industry development and workforce capacity building
✓ To work with members of the International Confederation of Registers of Exercise Professionals (ICREPs) & the European Register of Exercise Professionals (EREPs) to enhance and maintain international profile and to develop commonality of professional standards that aid registration portability
✓ Inform and advise the Company on strategies and opportunities to promote and enhance the REPs Ireland brand as a hallmark of professionalism and quality
✓ Advise the Company Board of Directors on issues of policy and strategic direction in relation to professional standards and industry development and capacity building
✓ Inform and advise Company management on the development and delivery of additional services and benefits that would be of relevance and add value to registered exercise professionals

✓ Serve for a term of 2 years
✓ Attend at least 4 Council meetings each year
✓ Chair/participate in working groups/committees
